Teaching Philosophy

"Children have the most creative mindset, interest, variety of views and new ideas. Different approaches and methods are the keys to create the room for students to express their thoughts and ideas freely; in order to satisfy the students' learning needs. I emphasize the importance of identifying the student learning character, building a trust between tutor and student to communicate effectively, optimizing the learning skills/techniques and customized the learning materials for individual needs. I also encourage more interactive discussion and solutions sharing session among the class to promote collective learning atmosphere."

"I believe that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. I will assess the learning style of each and every student so that I can help them to achieve the best they can. I will present a curriculum that will incorporate each different learning style, as well as make the content relevant to students' lives. I will incorporate hands-on learning, cooperative learning, projects, themes, and individual work that engage and activate students learning."

My philosophy of teaching is anchored by a personal goal to consistently improve and evolving my pedagogy through mentorship, acting as a guide while also being a listener, and leading as a role model in the classroom. 

I have developed a teaching practice focused on pushing my students to be a quick creative thinker. I do this by mentoring their abilities in their art process and guide them throughout the identification and pursuit of their motivations."
