Teaching Philosophy

"Children have the most creative mindset, interest, variety of views and new ideas. Different approaches and methods are the keys to create the room for students to express their thoughts and ideas freely; in order to satisfy the students' learning needs. I emphasize the importance of identifying the student learning character, building a trust between tutor and student to communicate effectively, optimizing the learning skills/techniques and customized the learning materials for individual needs. I also encourage more interactive discussion and solutions sharing session among the class to promote collective learning atmosphere."

Teaching Philosophy

"I believe that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. I will assess the learning style of each and every student so that I can help them to achieve the best they can. I will present a curriculum that will incorporate each different learning style, as well as make the content relevant to students' lives. I will incorporate hands-on learning, cooperative learning, projects, themes, and individual work that engage and activate students learning."

"I recognize that in order for students to excel in their studies, I need to build strong rapport and confidence with my students. Therefore, engaging in meaningful conversations and in turn instill and inherent interest in students in the respective subjects and adopting a progressive teaching model which ensures that my students have build solid foundations first before moving on to questions that requires higher level of critical thinking & problem solving skills. 

I believe that every student has the ability to reach for greater heights and is more than willing to unleash that potential in every child."

"I believe that making mistakes is the first step to effective learning. Therefore, I encourage students to be brave in expressing themselves. Every language has its own set of vocabulary, structure and rules. 

To effectively learn a language is to speak and apply it as a form of good practice. At the end of the day, I wish students can see their improvement in the lessons by demonstrating the use of language with confidence."

"As an art educator, I care deeply about children's mental health and interest in arts. My philosophy of teaching is anchored by a personal goal to consistently improve and evolving my pedagogy through mentorship, acting as a guide while also being a listener, and leading as a role model in the classroom. 

I have developed a teaching practice focused on pushing my students to be a quick creative thinker. I do this by mentoring their abilities in their art process and guide them throughout the identification and pursuit of their motivations."
